Bama Read Bama's 'Healing Crisis' & How We Came To Be

"Meet Bama Founder, President, C.E.O.
and all around Good Dog"

This is Sophie, we rescued her from Newark, NJ. She was approx. 7-8 months old and pregnant with nine pups. Keep in mind that having so many pups -- large pups -- inside of a small cocker spaniel was a great hardship for her -- so much so she could not eat, drink (no room inside her little body for food or water) or lay down to sleep. She would take "cat naps" by leaning up against a wall since she was so pregnant she could not lay down.

After Sophie miscarried all of the pups, I taught her how to eat again by feeding her one piece of Innova at a time. Now some four years later, Sophie is the picture of health -- frozen veggies are her fave treats! She is jet black -- fur looks like raw silk -- and her temperament has gone from bad to great. She used to be the typical nasty cocker who you could not pick up off the couch. Changing her food also changed her personality. She is not "prickly" anymore. (Food allergies come out in temperament problems too).

Sophie now passes her time playing with her toys and serving as our Customer Service Rep at Bama's Natural.
Here is a photo of our Michael. We rescued him from Garden State Kennels on March 5, 2000 -- right before they closed the place down. I knew when I saw this gentle giant that he was something special. Regal, innocent, funny, and special. That about sums up Mike. Two years ago Mike had a five inch round fatty tumor removed from his hip and he came through the surgery with flying colors.
Although Michael passed away on April 10, 2007, he will always be a big part of "Bama's."

Got right up off the operating table and staggered into the waiting room -- no post-op time required. He was THAT healthy from the natural food he's been eating for the last couple of years.

Within a few hours after the surgery, Mike was home, eating his full dinner and taking the stairs no problem. Within a few days he had removed his own stitches. The incision was already healed. A perfect example of how fast a healthy body heals itself. Noantibiotics were necessary. All I did was clean the site with peroxide and applied calendula gel and Rescue Remedy Cream once-a-day. Mike did the rest. He now serves as Bama's Official Home Delivery Transportation Director.

And last but not least, Aunt Betty. She is the Vice president of Public Relations and our most recent success story.
